Well developed characters and background. Smoothly developed the background of the story, clans and main characters. I gave the book a 4 as for me sections of the book spent too much time on waking up, having breakfast, making some idle trips and going to bed. These sections, in my mind, could have been spent developing and building on the relationship between Tia and Devin, adding suspense and providing more depth to the plot. The story had a very good ending by adding a new twist and not to be trusted characters. That saved the story for me and will probably lead to my getting book two.Product details

From the start it's already thrilling. Losing the two most important persons of her life, meeting the person she's fated to bond with, secrets are revealed, choices are made and actions are planned. Mesmericing from start to finish with very memorable great characters. I was constantly wondering what's gonna happen next and the plot was very fascinating. I'm truly blown away by this first book of The Hunter series. This Author doesn't disappoint and I can't wait for the next book.
I don't think there was anything I didn't like about this book. The characters and storyline line had me hooked from page one. I can't wait for book 2

Great.. Easy read with a good story line . I have enjoyed all of Ali s books that I have had a chance to read ., with the promise of this being a series I am really looking forward to the next installment !! Kudos to a Home town girl and keep on writing!!!!!
I am always thrilled to read a new book from Ali Spooner and this is no exception.It is a great book that had me hooked from the first page.I look forward to the release of book 2 hopefully in the very near future.
This was a very good book! The plot development was well done and kept my interest on the story at all times. I liked Devin and Tia very much. Their relationship was very sweet. The supporting cast of characters were all very good. I thought Lizard was totally adorable! Well done!
This book starts off heart wrenching. Then it's action packed. The best part is the courting. Of Devin and Tia. The friendships that are made throughout this book are special, all of the characters jump out at you. You just want to be part of the pack for a day. Damien the brother to Devin is precious. The ending will fill you with tears. Another homerun By Ali Spooner.
I'm always looking to read urban fantasy books so this story didn't disappoint. I could connect with the characters and believe their world. It actually makes me want to go visit New Orleans and take in the life. The only thing that bugged me with this book was the pacing of it story-wise. It was hard for me to imagine that the meat of this book happened in about a month maybe two month span at best. Sure we are dealing with supernatural things so it gets a pass but it felt rushed a bit. It would make more sense if it was drawn out 5 to 7 months. Regardless, I am looking forward to reading the next series. With the preview of what I'm assuming is the next book, I needed it yesterday.
