A fantasy, with an angel-like heroine, L, who lives three thousand centuries into the future; she seeks help from a remarkable woman in today's world. This talented woman has an equally gifted and unselfish husband, providing a convincing love story. Both of them are dedicated to saving their family by helping L's mission to save the world from progressive pollution and global warming because of the greed and selfishness of its oil and automobile industries. L knows that this disaster will happen because she has to live in a dome, rather than on the earth as we know it. The family teams with a young man who has invented a machine that requires no fossil fuel, a potential solution to reverse the destruction of the earth's atmosphere--science fiction at its best! A sinister plot develops by those who might lose from this invention, but the invention is able to reverse the earth's trend toward disaster.There is a similarity of this engaging book with Milton's Paradise Lost and Found, since the destruction of the world's atmosphere is all too believable if the present trend persists to the point of no return. The story ads to this danger a deadly virus that few can survive, recalling the plague of the Dark Ages. However, this story is not religious in the sense of a particular system of beliefs, although there is a "Great Creator of the Universe." And, it does denounce corporate greed and general selfishness and champions the `green' movement and individual unsefishness.
In sum, this is a well written, imaginative book, a delightful mixture of believable science fiction with an intriguing story with plenty of suspense and surprises. As a bonus, it brings a clear message we all should embrace.

I can only describe this book as entertaining and magnetic! I took it to the beach. Immediately after setting up I opened it and began reading. I could not put it down until I finished! The sunburn was worth it! It is a fine blend of plot "twists and turns" and the predictable. It is captivating and is in a sytle that talks with the reader rather than at or to! Put it on your summer reading list!
This is an imaginative story with thought provoking undertones. It offers hope that normal people like ourselves can really make a difference, all be it in a small way, if only we care to try.
The characters are believable and normal and you find yourself being dragged along with their enthusiasm as well as questioning yourself as to what you would do in the same situation.
The plot has been well thought out and throwing in a fantasy element has given this story an unusual slant. Once started it is definitely one that you don't want to put down until you see how it ends. Simply wonderful and a must read book.
An excellent book for the young and idealistic. This is a book your teen-age daughter will enjoy. It may be termed 'spiritual science fiction'. The characters are mainly good people; the only villain's vice is narcissism. There are no troubling sexual or violent details, no profanity, much inspirational. One may not agree with all the book's precepts, but is carried along by the smooth, entertaining narrative, full of clever twists and sparkling imagination. Misty Armstrong's Mirassion is a labor of love.

As an author, Misty Armstrong is in the category of J. K. Rowling and Dan Brown. L's Mirassion contained creativity, reality, humanitiarism, good characterization, intrigue etc. In short, L's Mirassion was complete. I was instantly captivated from the very first paragraph. Action, love, excitement, discovery, corruption, death, help from the future. A truly exciting story about our precious planet earth and the perilous doom we are destined to face. A friendly almost angelic being from the future befriends a family to influence and guide the course of events, only as much as allowed, without disrupting in inevitable path that the earth and its inhabitants must face.
Fantasy or reality--could the possibility exist? I totally enjoyed the story and the characters. I felt as if I was almost there sometimes. I am so impressed with my wife's talents as a writer.
L's Mirassion is only the first of a three part series. My wife has shared with me much of the material she is including for book two, "From here to L". She already has much of it written. The excitement and the story get even more intense when survivors must live inside the dome and discover the balance of life. Along the way, they make amazing discoveries and advancements. A world of utopia and pure harmony, where there is a life balance between every living creature. The best of traditions of every culture lives on in the new world where they all find a place and purpose.
I thoroughly loved L's Mirassion and look forward to part two of the series.
This is a charming story that is written in a very entertaining and interesting style. I look forward to seeing what the next two books unfold in the story, and I hope a movie comes out soon! This would also be great as an audio book!
This is a futuristic novel involving time travel, and is a great read for those who are ecologically minded. The writer has a creative and interesting way to make a play on words (destroyed Earth is called "Smearth", etc). There is also an interesting spiritual aspect at the core of the story. I read somewhere that Al Gore may have requested this book. I look forward to the rest of the trilogy.
