Kaya The River and Bone Saga Book 2 eBook William Norman
The best elements of Ilya (the first book) were a powerful style of description and quick paced movement of story. I am happy to report that both have come along to flavor the tale of Kaya, the second book of the series. This is a different snapshot of a place far removed the world of Ilya. Kaya is a strong female character who we meet on the cusp of a major change in her life. The detailings of the Clans, their heirarchy and rituals, are well displayed but never overpowering or cumbersome. The movement is fast and the tension pierces the narrative from beginning to end. What may have been dismissed as merely indulgent in the Ilya story, now shows itself as a careful and brutally honest study of that one time and place. In Kaya, we have a new setting and a new tone to go with it; yet the familiar voice of clan warfare is what moves the currents along. This was a crushingly fast read - it's a glass of wine and a brief spot of your evening to enjoy. I am fascinated to see what other smaller explorations we will be allowed to enjoy before the author moves to bring these worlds together and, at that point, which world and which tone will be set above the rest.

Kaya The River and Bone Saga Book 2 eBook William Norman Reviews
Could not put it down.. I love this writers imagery. I was glad that it was not as lascivious as his last book that I read last month. I'm looking forward to the next one.
I had made up my mind after being teased with Illya I would not read another of William Normans chapters until I could purchase the complete book. Quite frankly I have been more successful at giving up chocolate.
I am not sure that Mr. Norman did a better job writing Kaya or that it was the fact that this character did not have as many sexual encounters clouding my thinking as Illya . I loved the imagery and ceremony that went into laying the foundations of Kayas character I can't wait to see what happens next and how Mr. Norman will ultimately join these two women. All I can say as I have said before is that I can't wait to read the book through in its' entirety.
